[Somewhere][Quo Vadis?][Franciscan Dream]
"Somewhere"
by: Danilo G. Hilario, CE
CCPian
Somewhere along
the way the road seems so crooked
That you cannot see the right path to reach your certainty.
In the midst of sorrows, of pain to remember
Life remains and ever worthliving
For somewhere it is You who lives in me
The best thing that ever set me free.
Somewhere alone I come to You.
Perhaps a bare self or an empty heart
For You to clothe me and fill me
With Your love that ever shall be
The reason of my being what I am
In the way you want me to be.
Somewhere a humble heart pleads
Release me from the cage of darkness
That I may see the world of light
In myself as a precious gift
The greatest initial gift that God has given me
Somewhere I dream to be with You
In the presence of someone whom I used to hate
Along with the others who used to ignore me
To share with them Your forgiveness
The mercy that love brings deep within
Somewhere You revealed Yourself
In the weaknesses and failures of somebody
Who is there all alone, hungry and thirsty
Somewhere You laid Your hands into mine
And You touched me
Somewhere as the
wind blows
In the midst of silence as the sound vibrates
The echo of Your voice swings along the air
Let me hear Your voice
That I may find the end of this search for a real call
Let me shine somewhere in the dark
That I may be a flame for everyone
The spark of one little candle
That gives light all throughout
Show me the way to be useful to others
That I may give myself out of love
In justice, peace, and humility
Somewhere a bridge of understanding
Of peace and reconcilliation
Somehow...anywhere...but perhaps...
Somewhere in the heart!

"FRANCISCAN DREAM"
I dreamt one
night when I was alone
Inside the room with knightly sword
I heard a voice asking me whom to serve
Myself or the Most High?
The dream, the
dream it's haunting me
It's pursuing me everywhere
The dream makes it clear as I journey to Him
Make it my song to the Lord.
I see the world all coming to me
I asked myself: "But why after me"?
I am a sinner, a sparrow of God
Nothing to give God or men.
And then a Lady came into my life
Telling me that joy is in being poor
When I am empty of worldly cares
I'll be rich with heavenly grace.
The dream, the dream it's haunting me
It's pursuing me everywhere
The dream comes now clear as I journey to You
Make it my song to You, Lord.
